It was interesting to travel this fall, as the Lone Star State of Texas was a focal point of many meetings. We headed to Austin in September to our NFCA (National Franchise Consultants + Accountants) Annual Meeting. We heard from Spero Droulias and his team, how as accountants we can assist our Franchisees in the accounting, reinvestment, and succession planning within the McDonald’s franchise guidelines, which as you know has been modified based on O/O feedback.
The NBMOA Convention followed in Houston, Texas where they hosted their 47th Biennial Convention. They proudly celebrated the successes of their association, as well as the 50 year anniversary of Herman Petty, the first African American to own a McDonald’s franchise.
We were happy to attend the NOA meeting in Dallas, Texas as well. It was interesting to hear how the owner/operators are anxious to get back to supporting the three legged stool – and we appreciate that as we are part of that stool and have been for over 35 years! We appreciate the opportunity to be a partner to McDonald’s franchisees, as our goal is to develop new ways to continue to help our clients be successful owners.
Lastly, we finished out the fall by attending in the same week the Bethesda Field Office Summit as well as the Atlanta Field Office Summit. Many planning meetings occurred, as well re-engaging with our McFamily. Check out our team photo with our favorite friend, Ronald McDonald!
Meanwhile, we look forward to the spring and seeing you at World Wide 2020! Happy Holidays to you and yours from all of us at FRSCPA.
